iMatter is a survey tool designed with staff in NHS Scotland to help individuals, teams and NHS Lothian understand and improve staff experience. Staff experience is a term used to describe the extent to which employees feel motivated, supported and cared for at work. It is reflected in levels of engagement, motivation and productivity.
There is strong evidence that high levels of employee engagement has a positive impact on both staff and patient experience. Everyone within the organisation has a part to play – not just those who are patient-facing.
