Department of Clinical Neurosciences (DCN)

Welcome to your 10 week placement at DCN.

During your time on placement you will have the following learning opportunities:

- Alternating weeks of clinical experience in Neurology and Neurosurgical ward, as well as online teaching.

The wards you will be working on during this placement will be:
- Wards 130 and 230 - Neurology
- Ward 231 - Neurosurgery

 
First day arrangements

First morning of the clinical placement you will be met by Jane McCrindle in SPHERE, 3rd floor, RHCYP and receive your name badge forms. If there are any problems, Jane can be contacted on 0131 312 1618. You will then be met by Dr David Breen who will run a short induction and introduce you to the ward team.
