General Paediatrics

Welcome to your 6 week placement in Paediatrics.

During your time on placement you will have the following learning opportunities:

- Assessing patients through history taking and examinations, on all wards, emergency department and in Assessment Unit
- Becoming part of the Multi-Disciplinary Team, attending meetings and teaching

You may be placed on any ward within RHCYP including A&E and Assessment Unit.

 
First day arrangements

Induction details are sent to students with individual timetables. Modules Leads and Medical Education Fellows will arrange to meet students in Child Life and Health (CLAH) during the first week.

Name badges

These can be collected from the CLAH offices, 4th floor, RHCYP, Little France. This will be arranged in advance by Alexandra Moreira and admin support, who are available on clah-ugeducation@ed.ac.uk
