The SESSA Quality Improvement, Audit and Research Network is your local Trainee Research Network (TRN). We are here to support QI, Audit and Research within the region and can offer support and guidance, contacts and advice for those doing projects.
We are affiliated with the UK-wide federation of anaesthetics TRNs and facilitate SESSAs involvement in UK-wide, trainee-led audit and research projects.
QI projects
SQuARes can help with QI projects within the region. If you need advice, support or contacts, we can point you in the right direction. We can also help facilitate QI projects continuing as trainees rotate, finding someone to continue the work you have started to that your project can run to completion.
We run the annual SESSA QI day in autumn each year, offering trainees the chance to showcase their work alongside some educational content to meet the QI outcomes on the curriculum.
Research
SQuARes has a number of members with significant research interest and experience (and some who just the idea but are not experts). If you are thinking of doing research, want to get involved in research projects or just want information about research pathways for trainees, we can help.
We also facilitate SESSA's involvement in national projects. If you are interested in being involved in any of these, get in touch with us. There is always a need for site-based trainee leads, regional leads as well as enthusiastic data collectors.
