Annual Leave generally runs from 1st April to 31st March every year.
(Less than full time staff will be pro-rata)
Training Grades
FY1 -28 days
FY2 - 28 days
Core Trainee - 28 days then 33 days when 3rd incremental point is reached
Locum Appointment for Training - Depends on grade being covered
Locum Appointment for Service - Depends on grade being covered
Specialty Trainee - 28 days then 33 days when 3rd incremental point is reached
Senior House Officer - 28 days
Plus 8 Public Holidays
Career Grades
Consultant - 33 days
Associate Specialist - 33 days
Specialty Doctor - 5.6 weeks (28 days) annual leave, pro rata or 6.6 weeks (33 days) annual leave, pro rata, having completed more than 2 years' service or were entitled to 6 weeks annual leave previously.
Staff Grade - 28 up to 33 days (depending on length of service)
Salaried GP - 33 days
Plus 8 Public Holidays
