Suggested activities for medical students
This section collates some activities that you might find useful for teaching medical students, particularly when clinical activity is low or there is no obvious focus for teaching.
In the documents below you will find:
A template poster outlining the learning opportunities available on a ward. This can be adapted for your clinical area.
Ten interactive long cases for self-directed learning on common general and acute medical conditions that have been designed for medical students to work through while on clinical placement. A disclaimer that medicine evolves rapidly, and although the principles within these cases will remain valid, they may not contain the most up to date guidelines and protocols. The most up to date guidance should be accessed via your local intranet site.
